History Of Holi( Holi Story )

The history of Holi is very mythical, its mention is found in written form in Vishnu Purana. But it has been said and heard even before the Puranas in the form of Kinwadantis. That is to say, Holi has been celebrated since antiquity when the Aryans learned the skill of farming and left Banjara life and started settling in a place, Holi was associated with the religious tradition and it became more popular. Now the question is that when it is such an old festival, why no written information. It is so!… That no information is available even today in the whole Vedic period of the Rigveda. Later Ved Vyas lined their verses in the Vedic period and composed poetry known as Rigveda. The Rigveda was also composed in the Vedic period itself, but its verses were also pronounced throughout the Vedic period. There was no information in writing. There was no Hindu religion at that time. Sanatan Dharma was the only name. The Puranas were composed after the Vedas. In the Puranas, Holi is mentioned in the Vishnu Purana and in the Narasimha avatar in Dashavatara. In fact, it is a harvest festival. The harvesting of the wheat crop by elimination. When Ved Vyas associated it with religion, there was enthusiasm and enthusiasm among the people. Followers of the Kinvandantis, when Hiranyakashipu started denying the existence of God and proclaimed himself to be God, it spread to all the subjects. Hiranyakashyap was a great king, but his majesty made him arrogant. The Gods also saw that if its glory would spread more, then who would take the name of God on earth or in the Dev Lok? In such a situation, to break his pride, God gave birth to Prahlada in Hiranyakashyap's house. Prahlada's mother was still worshiping Lord Vishnu. But she does not speak for fear of her husband. He also gave Prahlada a rite of worship to Lord Vishnu. Prahlada also started worshiping Lord Vishnu, when this thing reached the ears of Hiranyakashyap, the fire became furious. Worship Lord Vishnu, the son of the king of the state in which the people considered him as God? How could this happen? He tried to understand Prahlada first, but Prahlada had the same saying that the existence of the God who lives in the house cannot be denied, so whatever it is, he will chant the same mantra "Om Namo Bhagwate Basahudevaya Namah" Hearing Hiranyya, even more fire was extinguished. It is better to remain Nirvansh than getting such children. He first tried to kill Prahlada by pushing him from the mountain but he escaped, and after that, he wanted to be crushed under the feet of the elephant.

In the end, he wanted to burn her, but he was afraid of Prahlada's escape. Then she called her sister Holika who was blessed that she could not be burnt by fire. The pyre is decorated and it is decided that Prahlada will sit with his aunt on the pyre and Prahlada will die, Holika will escape. God felt this very cruel and tortured. So Prahlada did not get water but Holika died. On the second day, a wave of happiness ran in the people and people played Holi from the ashes of Holika's pyre. The only reason behind this was that grief, sadness, suffering will not remain in anyone's life forever. This world is variable. Night and day, happiness and sorrow, Joy are the two wheels of life, which always run together. This cycle goes on continuously. There is no getting rid of it. Then how about people's lives? This was a very important question. The sages then said that if the time is bad, then be patient and meditate on God at that time, even if there is a good time, there is no need to be happy, share that time with people. With this, time will be spent on the same and in the end time, there will be no temptation to leave the body.

Holi's Evil and Solution

Evil - Holi means something different to some people. The songs filled with sloppiness, intoxication, filthy and ugly streets and have a different sentiment towards women. Perhaps for future generations, we will be able to give this as a heritage. The cultural heritage of India, which has a significance in the whole world. Which is starting to get a bit cloudy today? Some people have forgotten Lazza and Haya. In the festival of Holi, many people are bad, they do not have the way. They celebrate drunk Holi in such a way as they drink alcohol on the occasion. They behave unsightly and use unclean and bad colors, which is dangerous to health.

Solution - If you want a solution, then your coming generation will have to teach it from childhood. In this era of modernity, now we have to bear the responsibility of saving our tradition. Seeding of good values will have to be done by ourselves. This will happen only when there is a communication of morality in us. Otherwise, 3% of the world's Hindus, who have been following this tradition till now, will be on the verge of termination. I am saying this because now such people should be neglected from the country and this should never happen.

Purpose Of Celebrating Holi

The purpose of celebrating the festival was that people should leave the discrimination of high and maintain social structure together. By maintaining 12 sanskaras and 14 arts of life, one could attain divinity. But now it has remained merely symbolic. Holi is actually a festival of joy.

Conclusion and Consultation

During Holi, people also forgive their old enemies and make friends. Everyone enjoys this festival, whether it is young or old. But we should be careful to play only with good quality colors and should not hurt anyone. In this way, everyone will have a good time at this festival. We should celebrate Holi in a civilized manner. We should realize that it is a festival of happiness and friendship. We should share our joy with others. We should not misbehave. The true spirit of the festival must be maintained.
